Debre Libanos Monastery

The monastery of Debre Libanos is  100 kilometers north of Addis Ababa on the way, a few kms off the main highway north to Bahar Dar. The scenery is spectacular and the monastery village is situated on a terrace high up on the walls of a thousand metre deep gorge. In the rainy season waterfalls tumble off the surrounding cliffs
